A little background about Meg, the Owner and Founder of Manners with Meg Dog Training!
Meg has been passionate about working with these amazing animals since she was young. She got her first dog at 9 years old, who had severe fear reactivity. Meg was determined to learn how to train and communicate with him better, to live a more fulfilling and happy life together.
Now, with 9+ years of professional experience in various areas of training: service dog training(guides for the blind, PTSD dogs, Balance support, etc.), pet dogs, working for one of the top dog training companies in California, and even sport dog training, she is here to help you build a stronger bond with your furry family members!
Meg believes in balanced training methods that prioritize clear and fair communication.
In Meg’s off time, she trains her personal German Shepherd for competitive Protection Sports and loves a good outdoor adventure with her husband and their other pups!
Claymore, Diego, Naji, Archie, and Shepp are the furry sidekicks behind the scenes.
These guys(and gal) are professionals in providing safe, controlled distractions for pups in training to learn how to safely exist around other dogs!
Meet Shelbie!
While she spends her weekdays helping students communicate as a speech language pathologist, her passion extends to helping dogs and their owners connect on a deeper level.
Shelbie currently shares her life with Beau, the most adorable Corgi, who has gone through training here at MWM. Through this experience, Shelbie has not only honed her training skills but also deepened her understanding of the patience, consistency, and love required to bring out the best in every dog.
Growing up surrounded by dogs, Shelbie understands the unique bond between humans and their furry friends. She believes that every dog has the potential to be a well-mannered companion, and she's dedicated to making that dream a reality for pet parents.
